Port Campbell Hostel is a unique facility in a quaint seaside village in a district that’s home to farmers, fishermen and folks who enjoy a reasonably moderate pace of life. They call things they way they see them, expect adults to behave with a reasonable degree of common sense and for people to respect the areas they visit. To that end, life in the hostel revolves around three simple expressions (call them ‘rules’, if that makes more sense to you) that outline our expectations of guest behaviour. They also form the cornerstone of the hostel’s terms and conditions.
1: Individuals are responsible for their behaviour. (A bit of a no-brainer). With that in mind, consider the interests and comfort of other guests during your stay. (Similarly, parents are responsible for the behaviour of their children in the hostel).
2: Disruptive or unacceptable behaviour on hostel premises will result in the eviction of the responsible person(s). Evictees will not receive refunds of any money they have paid to the hostel and will have all reasonable reparation costs billed directly to them.
3: The needs of the many outweigh the wants of the few. We know it sounds a little bit like something from ‘Startrek’, but the hostel can house almost 90 people under its one roof. So, again, consider the impact of your behaviour on other guests, especially after 10.30pm.
Right Of Admittance Reserved (ROAR).
The hostel retains the right to refuse entrance to any person who the hostel believes may act in a disruptive or unacceptable manner. Any money already collected by the hostel from that person will be refunded, at the discretion of the hostel’s representatives.
Guests are issued with a key-card that provides access to your room and after-hours access to the hostel. A $20.00 fee will be charged if the Key-card is not returned upon check out.
International card transactions: The hostel accepts VISA and Mastercard. International card transactions attract a surcharge of 2.5% and, where applicable, are conducted in the guest’s “home currency” (USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD, JPY, SGD, or HKD) as identified at point-of-sale, unless the guest elects to conduct their transaction in AUD.
Hostel facilities are only for the use of bona-fide hostel guests. Do not be tempted to allow anybody who is not a paid guest of the Hostel in, or into your room.
The hostel reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions to suit the ever changing landscape linked to the Australian tourism and hospitality industry
A charge of one night’s accommodation per person will be deducted from the credit card used at time of booking if reservation is not cancelled within 24-hours of ETA.
